Safety Checklist
Display Board
The exhibit is within 3.5 m high from the floor, 1.2 m side to side and 0.8 m front to back.
Project apparatus is within the project display area
The exhibit items and backboard are self-standing and stable or secured to the table.
All sheets on display are glued flat.
Supplementary Items
Live organisms must not be displayed. This includes ALL bacteria, moulds, plants and animals.
Projects that cause any harm or stress to animals are not permitted and will not be judged.
Any flammable or poisonous chemicals including drugs or medicine (solid, liquid or gas) are simulated, and noted as "chemical- simulated"
Electrical power bars, supplies and cords are in good condition, non-modified CSA approved and provide necessary grounding.
NO heat generating electrical devices.
Only sealed type batteries are used.
No flames are used in the display.
Only ANSI 'Class 1' unmodified Lasers or laser diodes can be operated.
Air/Hydraulic pressure systems are non-operational and open to the atmosphere.
No pressurized tanks, canisters or gas cylinders are in the display.
Conclusion:
Items have been removed due to safety violations, check with registration.
Not permitted at future fairs.
May not meet CWSF safety regulations.
